The upcoming 2016 Lexus TX is the successor to the luxury brand’s one of the best selling models that racked up huge sales records all over the world due to its unique properties. Keeping in mind the modern requirements and shift in sales trends, Lexus is equipping this vehicle to boast of superior exterior visuals, comfortable and technology packed interior space alongside a modified powertrain configuration that will put it far ahead of competition. Toyota’s other large size vehicles do not exactly share the same platform or design language of this model.
2016 Lexus TX Interior and Exterior
Words may fail to describe the quality of Lexus’ luxury range vehicles. The 2016 Lexus TX, especially, is a vehicle that is packed with all the latest gizmos and gadgets such as touchscreen centre console, amazing sound system, rear-view camera, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and lane departure warning. Safety has been taken up a notch with the inclusion of safety airbags to protect against collision.
Apart from safety and infotainment, this car also boasts of enhanced comfort elements characterized by leather covered seats, wood outlined interior features and added cabin space for comfortable seating as well as carrying more cargo. Thanks to the car’s square shaped body structure, there should be more cabin space than that available in GX. It is still unclear how exactly the interior would look, but rest assured, it won’t be anywhere near to that of GX.
Based on computer renderings, the 2016 Lexus TX will be a three-row crossover that will sport unconventional body lines and rounded off edges that will increase the car’s elegance. Its front portion will make way for spindle-shaped grille, bigger air intakes and almost the same bumper design that was found in its previous version. Like most other new generation cars, this too will have LED lights and advanced fog lights to drive away the darkness with utmost ease. The roofline will be slightly arching and the car’s backside will resemble that found in Large Lexus models.
2016 Lexus TX Engine Specs
Since powertrain specs are still unknown, we cannot say for certain what engine versions might make its way inside of 2016 Lexus TX. We can speculate that this car will gain inspiration from Toyota Highlander and feature a 3.5 litre V6 engine, and be available in the hybrid configuration as well in the near future. Drive options are expected to be in standard all wheels or front wheels with the additional chance of getting on rear-wheels, if the car is based on GS platform. Fuel economy rates have not been measured yet, but based on estimations, we can hope for about 17 mpg in combined driving.
2016 Lexus TX Price and Release Date
