2016 Hyundai Sonata draws its inspiration from the classic Hyundai Stellar and was introduced for the first time in 1985. Many critics branded the model as a rejuvenation of the Stellar with a standard face lift & improved engine. It should be noted that the model was originally intended for a release only in the United States but has been considered for distribution in Columbia, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore since the release of its sixth generation in 2009. The car is in essence a majestic sedan that has a standard 4 door configuration and is based on the highly acclaimed “FR Layout”.
2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Variant Specs
2016 Hyundai Sonata recently introduced its electric hybrid version which consists of a high capacity Lithium based battery unit which can be effectively charged from an outside electric outlet. Also, one should note that the model is fully capable of driving on its battery but one can easily switch to its hybrid mode once the battery has been significantly depleted. Major advantage of having a hybrid electric system is that it is more fuel efficient and helps in extending the overall driving range. The hybrid system also consists of a very powerful motor that helps in converting the stored electrical energy into useable power.
